A united culture of traditional Chinese elements and a booming economic spurt, Suzhou is making a name for itself – no longer living in the shadows of Shanghai.
Situated at the heart of vibrant Suzhou Industrial Park, Citadines Xinghai Suzhou is encompassed by a hive of business and recreational activities - restaurants, entertainment, and retail experiences are enjoyed alongside a slew of nearby cultural excursions in this ancient city.
A must-see is the Lingering Garden, which, when banded together with Suzhou’s other classical gardens, has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This cultural beauty is home to bucolic collections of water, elaborate pavilions, and also houses two UNESCO Intangible World Heritage Arts; Pingtan and Guqin music.
Another cultural icon of the area, Tiger Hill, is a picturesque hill so called because it resembles a crouching tiger. Keep an eye out for traditional calligraphy and poetry carved onto the rock-face.
